Who are the church staff?

AndrewLaurenAndrew Holbrook, Founding Pastor

I was raised on a farm in Bethel, CT.  I love to travel, watch movies, and compete in just about anything.  I studied English and History at Davidson College (yes, I know Steph Curry- sort of).  Against all odds, while serving college students in North Carolina,  I received my seminary degree from RTS Charlotte in just 9 years.   My marriage to Lauren is my greatest accomplishment and my two children (Haddie, 11/8/11 and Evelynn, 10/14/13) are my greatest joy.  For 15 years, I served the college ministry of Campus Outreach as a campus minister and pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, NC. In August of 2015, my family moved to Fairfield, CT to serve this community and share the love of Jesus to everyone we meet.

ALM Allison Matlack, Resource Director

I grew up in Philadelphia loving the Phillies, summers at the swim club, beach vacations to Ocean City, NJ, and of course the best local cuisine – cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, and Rita’s Water Ice. I graduated from Davidson College with a degree in history and worked for Bank of America for 10 years in project management & process design. During my time there I served as a career coach and mentor and loved listening to people’s stories and helping them navigate next steps in their career. In the summer of 2015, I left Charlotte and my job at Bank of America to help resource our team and build a faith & work initiative that will equip people to better understand God's purposes for their daily work.

Milas Shepherd, Director of University Ministry

I was raised in Charlotte, NC. I have been attending Panthers games since they began in 1995. Outside of rooting for the Panthers I enjoy playing golf, eating or cooking good food, and anything that allows me to enjoy the outdoors. I have been married to my wife, Ashley, since May 2012. We welcomed our first born, Micah on May 30, 2014 and our daughter, Selah on March 2, 2017.  Before moving to Fairfield, I taught high school English for 3 years at an inner city school in Charlotte. Now I am seeking to serve students on the college campus by helping them to understand the joy of a life lived in relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

AshleyAshley Shepherd, Coordinator for Children's Ministry

I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. My 24 years in the south cultivated a deep love for Chick Fil A, sweet tea, BBQ southern charm. Before moving to Fairfield in 2015 I worked full time in children's ministry at Christ Covenant Church - the same church that I was raised in. I now serve in a similar capacity for our church here and am grateful for a job that allows me to serve the church while still primarily being home with our two precious kiddos. My favorite part of my job is introducing the church to the necessity of our children's role in the church now - not just later once they are grown up.

Davis Good, Music and Arts Director

I am a native Oklahoman, a writer, and a composer. I believe in the power of story to reform the imagination and strengthen bonds of love, as evidenced in the poetry and narrative of Scripture. By the Spirit’s direction, I am seeking to use this storytelling power for the healing of local communities. I am a creator of new opera and an evangelist for the artist-hood of all people. I enjoy meals shared in homes and am an advocate for constructive leisure. I studied Music Composition at Oklahoma City University and Carnegie Mellon University.

Morgan McKean, College Ministry Intern

I was born in Austin, Texas but spent most of my childhood moving around the country (and world) to Arizona, Japan, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. I moved to Colorado in 5th grade where I stayed through high school graduation. From growing up in Colorado, I learned to love hiking and skiing, although my Texas roots shine through in my love for anything BBQ, Tex Mex or monogrammed. I graduated from Fairfield University in May 2017 with a degree in Behavioural Neuroscience on the Pre-Med track. I have been involved in the church plant for the last two years and felt that God was calling me to stay in Connecticut after graduation, to work with college students and continue to see the church plant flourish. I am excited to be working with Fairfield University students to help them grow their relationship with God through Jesus Christ and to be working alongside my Connecticut family.
